And if you've never been on a shoot - or your young dog's had a summer off and you're not quite sure it's ready - there's a gap between where you are now and where you need to be. This day fills that gap. Shoot Day Foundations is a full day with Darren at The Bunker in Sprotbrough. Shoot etiquette, introduction to shot, introduction to cold game. Everything that turns a capable dog and a willing handler into something that actually works on a shoot. 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 Shoot etiquette - how a shoot day runs, what's expected of a handler, and the unwritten rules that nobody tells you until you've already broken one. Introduction to shot - getting your dog confident and steady around the real thing. Introduction to cold game - the first time a dog meets game, it matters. We do it properly. By the end of the day, you'll know how a shoot day works, what your dog should be doing at every stage, and what to do when it doesn't. 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 - Complete novices - never been on a shoot, don't know where to start - Handlers with young dogs that need to find their feet before the season - Anyone who's been out and felt like they were winging it - One dog, one handler. All breeds, all levels welcome. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: your dog 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 . Not sure if that's your dog yet? Message us before booking - we'll give you a straight answer, but there is time to work on this and a reason to now get your dog to that stage. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: The Bunker, Sprotbrough, Doncaster 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁: 10:00am | Finish: Approximately 3:00pm 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁: £65 per handler (Members) / £75 (non-members) - Tea and coffee provided throughout the day. Bring your own lunch. - One dog, one handler per space. - Darren will tell you what you need to hear.
