This accredited Canine First Aid Course, delivered at Kirkbourne by BTC Pet Co., gives you the practical knowledge and confidence to act calmly and correctly while veterinary help is on its way. It's run by a Registered Veterinary Nurse with direct veterinary practice experience. Not just course content - real-world, hands-on knowledge from someone who's seen these emergencies first-hand. The day covers both theory and practical elements throughout, so you're not just reading about what to do. You're practising it. What's covered: Primary assessment CPR & resuscitation Bleeding & wounds Bandaging Fractures & injuries Burns & scalds Poisoning Bites & stings Choking & airway emergencies Heatstroke & hypothermia Seizures & collapse Eye & ear injuries Shock Road traffic accidents & trauma In the field - first aid considerations specific to working dogs and fieldwork scenarios When to seek veterinary treatment Building a canine first aid kit Who it's for: This course is suitable for dog owners, gundog handlers and canine professionals - including dog walkers, groomers and pet sitters. Whether your dog works the field or lives on your sofa, the situations covered apply to both. There is also a number of 'in the field' scenarios which will be covered specifically for working dogs.
