Some handlers want less between them and the dog. Not a smaller collar. Not a cheaper one. Just finer rope, closer contact, a connection that's almost nothing - and that's exactly the point.

The KB Slip Collar 5mm is the same collar as our 6mm. Same marine grade stainless steel O-ring. Same strong grip stopper that prevents the collar going over the dog's head. Same two lengths, same 50+ colours, same hardware choice. The only difference is the rope.

At 5mm, the collar sits lighter on the dog's neck. There's less of it. Handlers who choose it tend to know why - they've trained with a 6mm, they want to refine things down, they prefer the feel of something finer in their hand and on the dog. It's a preference, not an upgrade. Neither is better. They're just different, and some handlers are very clear about which one they want.

Like the 6mm, it can stay on the dog all day if you need it to. The O-ring clips straight onto a standard lead for immediate control - or use it as a thumb grip and walk them without a lead at all. The stopper keeps the collar on, not the lead in place.

It works for gundogs. It works just as well for any dog, any breed.

Hardware choice is ring or thimble. Both work equally well. The thimble costs a fraction more because the part costs more - it's not a step up, just a different feel in the hand. Handler preference, same as the rope.
