Rabbit balls fall apart. That's just what they do - unless the fur's stitched on rather than glued.

Most of them are glued. Ours aren't. Every KB rabbit ball is stitched, which means it lasts longer in the field, longer in the bag, and longer in the hands of a dog who's actually working. It's not a detail you'd think to ask about before you've had one disintegrate mid-session. It's the first thing you think about after.

What it's actually for.

As it rolls along the ground it leaves a scent trail. For a young dog or a dog that's gone a bit flat on dummies, that changes everything. They're nose-first into it before they've even clocked what they're doing. You've got a retrieve happening without the dog realising it was reluctant a minute ago.

It's tennis ball-sized. Light enough for a pup. Natural rabbit fur, so the scent's real and the feel's different from canvas - which is exactly the point. You're building the bridge between dummy work and the actual game. A lot of dogs that won't touch a canvas dummy will pick this up straight away. Not all of them - but a lot.

That said, it's not just a starter tool. I've used rabbit balls like this in experienced dog training for years. Scent work, locate exercises, confidence building after a rough patch - it earns its place in the bag at every level.
