Two dogs. One lead. No tangles.

If you walk two dogs together, you'll know the problem. They swap sides, they cross over, the leads twist around your hand and tighten around their necks. It's a pain. The Kirkbourne Brace Slip Lead sorts it.

One lead. Two collar loops. A swivel in the middle that moves with the dogs - so when they swap positions, the lead rotates with them instead of winding itself into a knot. Each extension has its own stopper so neither lead can slip over the dog's head. Everything stays clean, controlled and comfortable for both dogs and the handler.

One hundred centimetres. Eight millimetre PPM rope. Made by hand, one at a time, in Yorkshire.

The 8mm is a chunkier rope - we make it because customers ask for it and it does the job well. That said, 6mm is what we use and what we'd recommend. If you're not sure which to go for, the 6mm Brace Lead is worth a look. But if you know you prefer a thicker rope in the hand, this is made to exactly the same standard.

The work still needs to be done first. The stopper leads and heel leads are a good place to start if you're not there yet. But once both dogs know their job, this is the lead that makes walking them together genuinely straightforward.

A word of warning

This is a training aid. It encourages you to do your job - gently. It is not a trainer. Used right, with two dogs that know their position, it's brilliant. Used wrong, it's just rope with two loops. If you're not sure whether your dogs are ready for it, ask us before you order. We'll tell you straight.
