The Eclipse is a swivel slip lead - a two-part design with a separate handle and collar, connected by a swivel claw clip that stops the lead twisting as your dog moves. It sounds simple. The difference in the hand is immediate. No tightening, no tangling, no lead fighting you when you're trying to focus on the dog. Just clean, consistent contact.

It's built for the training ground and the trial line. Heelwork, steadying at the peg, managing a keen dog around distractions, handling a young dog through its first proper sessions - the Eclipse works across all of it. The collar sits fine and light on the dog's neck. The handle gives you the weight and grip you actually want.

The bit that makes the Eclipse different from anything else on the market: it's fully built to you. Choose your handle colour from 40+ colourways. Choose a separate colour for the collar. Choose 6mm or 8mm handle rope. Choose 4mm or 5mm for the collar. Choose your length. Add your name if you want it. No two Eclipse leads come out the same - and that's the point.

How it works:

The swivel is built directly into the claw clip - as your dog turns, sits, or changes pace, the clip rotates freely rather than building up twist in the rope. But the claw clip does something the swivel alone can't: it lets you detach the handle completely, leaving the collar sitting quietly on the dog's neck. At the peg, between retrieves, during steadiness work - the collar stays on and your handle comes off. That little bit of extra security makes a difference, particularly for young dogs and competition work where you want the dog wearing something without a full lead attached.

A lot of leads on the market use a D-clip for this. D-clips rotate too, but that's where the similarity ends. The claw clip mechanism is significantly more secure - it closes positively and holds under load in a way a D-clip simply doesn't. A D-clip can work loose, catch, or release under pressure. On a training lead that's being slipped on and off all session, that's not a risk worth taking. The swivel claw clip on the Eclipse doesn't have that problem.

The collar section - in lighter 4mm or 5mm rope - sits quietly on the dog's neck and removes easily without drama. That matters for young dogs, and for competition work where transitions need to be smooth and clean.

Far more secure than the D-clips commonly used on other leads - closes positively and holds where a D-clip can catch or release under pressure
