This lead started as a bespoke order.

A customer in Switzerland needed a slip lead that met local regulations - in some European countries, including Switzerland, a slip lead must have a second stopper to limit how tight the collar can become against the dog's neck. We made it. It worked. Other customers saw it and wanted one. So we added it to the range.

That's how most of the good ideas around here start. Someone needs something specific. We build it properly. Everyone else wants one too.

To be clear about what this lead is - and what it isn't. It is not a figure of 8 lead. It doesn't restrict the dog's movement or apply pressure in two places. What the second stopper does is simple: it prevents the slip loop from tightening fully against the dog's neck. The lead can still do its job. The dog can still feel the signal. It just can't become uncomfortably tight. That's the whole point of it.

Built to last - materials:

• Highest quality marine-grade ring or thimble - your choice of hardware
• Rope is the best quality braided PPM - no stretch (ensuring both stoppers remain in place), washable, fast drying, stain resistant and non-toxic
• Two stoppers - one to limit the collar loop, one to prevent the lead coming over the dog's head
• No metal clips holding the rope together - no sharp edges, no nasty surprises. A lot of leads out there have both. Ours don't

These aren't leads knocked together from whatever's cheap. Every material is chosen because it does the job properly, for as long as you need it to.
