Everything in the Kirkbourne range is made to do a job properly. The Country Classic does that - and then looks the part doing it. Solid brass ring. Solid brass stopper. Classic country colours chosen specifically to sit alongside the brass hardware rather than fight it. The result is a lead that earns a second look at a shoot, a game fair or anywhere else that rewards a bit of care in what you carry.

It's not a fashion accessory. It's still a proper slip lead, made the same way as everything else in the workshop. Same quality rope. Same attention. Same Yorkshire hands. The brass just makes it something you'll want to keep out rather than stuff in a pocket.

Available in 6mm and 8mm - the 8mm gives you a slightly heavier, more substantial feel in the hand. Both work. It's a matter of preference.

• Rope is the best quality braided PPM - no stretch, washable, fast drying, stain resistant and non-toxic
• No metal clips holding the rope together - no sharp edges, no nasty surprises. A lot of leads out there have both. Ours don't
