This lead is for any condition you're likely to find yourself in.

Wet field. Muddy bank. Standing water up to your shins. Biothane doesn't care what the weather's doing. It's waterproof, wipe clean, and doesn't hold muck or smell. Some handlers prefer it for exactly that reason. Comes out of the bag the same as it went in - whatever happened in between.

The 110cm length works the same way as the rest of the range. It's designed for a dog that knows where it's supposed to be. Once your dog is genuinely walking to heel, the extra length makes sense. You're not restricting, you're guiding. That's a different thing.

As a recommendation, if you're still working on the heel, start there first. The KB Heel Slip Lead, the Ball Heel Slip Lead or the Thumb Heel Slip Lead are where that work happens. Get that right, then come back. However it is entirely up to you and your preferences.
