FULL TRAINING DAYS
Kirkbourne Spaniels hold full day training events every month. These training days include novice, intermediate, advanced and Spaniel days.
The training days are designed to build you and your dog’s confidence. We work in groups and the day is structured with plenty of rest breaks.
You will come away feeling refreshed, with new goals for you, and you dog.
Our training days are held all over Yorkshire, and include the beautiful grounds of Aske Estate Richmond. Every training day has a professional photographer attending to capture the day. To view a selection of videos from various days click here
Our training days are structured around our TRAIN TO WIN programme, and you will have needed to have achieved certain levels before joining either the intermedieate or advanced days.
If it's your first time, no problem, decide where you think you and your dog fit in, come along and we can make an assesmement.
NOVICE TRAINING DAYS
Covering all the basic foundation training from heel work to retrieving. (6months +)
Working towards BRONZE TTW
INTERMEDIATE TRAINING DAYS
Covering all the above and directional control and introduction to shot and obstacles.
You and your dog need to have achieved Brozne in our Train to Win programme.
Working towards SILVER TTW
ADVANCED TRAINING DAYS
Covering all the above, and blind retrieving ,getting the dog to cross water onto islands. The use of the remote control dummy launchers.
You and your dog need to have acheived at least Silver in our Train to Win programme.
Working towards GOLD TTW
SPECIALISED TRAINING DAYS
SPANIEL TRAINING DAYS
Working a spaniel in the correct manner is paramount to a great dog ,we will show you how to correctly hunt your dog in many environments. We will also look at dropping to shot, and dropping to flush.
COLD GAME TRAINING DAYS
This is where we are nearly there with our dogs, we have now got full control ,and we need to step it up to introduce the dog to game. These days are very popular, and always sell out fast.
DOG NO GUN - HALF TRAINING DAY
OK we are nearly there and your dog needs to experience the flushing of birds and the hunting out of birds. These half days are a great introduction to beating with your dog without the pressure of the guns watching on.
SHOOT TRAINING DAYS
When in season, we hold shoot training days where we walk up with the guns and the game is shot and we all get our turn to retrieve the shot game. Very popular with the advance handlers wanting to progress into tralling and shooting.
